INFORMATION AND CORPORATE SERVICES DEPARTMENT

Human resource management is at the core of organisational growth and performance. The department is responsible to use the meagre resources to ensure continuous staff efficiency and maximise productivity.

FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT

  1. Responsible for organising press briefings of the Executive Secretary and the Governing Board.
  2. Responsible for all Public Relations activities of the Commission.
  3. Responsible for advising the Executive Secretary on Public Relations matters.
  4. Responsible for portraying good image of the Commission to the general public.
  5. Responsible for keeping general records of the Department.
  6. Responsible for all legal documents of the Commission
  7. Advising the Commission on all legal issues.
  8. Assisting in all matters related to legal drafting.
  9. Responsible for reviewing legal agreement, legal opinion, memoranda, and other related matters.
  10. Responsible for the conduct of legal analysis and research.
  11. Performing other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Divisions in Information and Corporate Services department

The Information and Corporate Services Department is made up of two (2) Divisions:
Public Relations Division
Legal Services Division

Public Relations Division:

  1. Propagating the activities of the Commission
  2. Organising press briefing and writing rejoinders
  3. Publication of Commission’s News Brief and Newsletter
  4. Liaising with pressmen and other relevant stakeholders on press issues
  5. Performing any other duties as may be assigned

  6. Legal Services Division


    1. Taking charge of all legal documents of the Commission
    2. Advising on all legal matters
    3. Liaising with External Solicitors on cases involving the Commission/Colleges
    4. Assisting in implementing legal policies/matters.
    5. Responsible for reviewing and drafting Acts, legal agreement, legal opinion, memoranda, and other documents for the Commission.
    6. Responsible for the conduct of legal analysis and research on various legal matters of the Commission and Colleges of Education.
    7. Performing any other duties and may be assigned from time to time.
